Kate Moross- Her CV

Kate Moross

This is my favourite Kate Moross piece of artwork as I like how she uses different patterns and different styles. I also enjoy the writing itself, as it’s quite funny.

Kate Moross is a designer, illustrator and art director based in London. She has been profiled in Grafix Magazine, Dazed and Confused, Vice Magazine and Creative Review, who selected her for a creative Future award in 2007. Moross cut her teeth designing flyer and posters for the blossoming indie music scene when she was just 19. Whilst studying she worked on her first advertising commission for cadburys through Fallon. She continued to free lance whilst she was studying setting up a successful illustration practice.

Kate Moross's latest project sees her collaborate with british electronic duo Disclosure and R'n'B legend Mary J Blige. Using the old techniques of rotoscoping, her unique style has been hand crafted against the track of accentuate the already individual sounds making the output into a truly incredible piece of graphic animation.

Paultons Park ride logo

This was our final design for our ride project. As our ride was themed on sleeping, we decorated the writing with strips as it looks like pyjamas Also we have a cloud around the writing with stars to represent night time. We chose to have a slogan, as when they enter the ride it may be day time and suddenly it's like they're going to sleep.

Evaluation- Juice Squad

Evaluation

This this assignment, I had to design a Juice Squad member that would be effective to the audience. I had to design many different types of monsters and choose which one I liked. This was for their company and to get the younger generation to be healthier. This took time but the outcome was good.

I chose to design a Minion as my monster as I know this would be effective with the audience, many people at the moment are on a 'Minion Rush'. I had to create the image that I designed and chose and make it 3D. I strongly feel this will attract the younger generation and hit the target audience.

I have uploaded my designs and my finally image. These are all my own work and drawings.

I like the idea of choosing the minion as they are popular. Also, I like the way it looks and has came out. It is bright, cute and effective to the audience.

For my monster I created it by hand. That involves the colouring, cutting out and putting together as well as drawing on the body and face. I found it easier that way as it all by hand which meant I have more control of what it would look like.

I saw the other monsters and thought they were cute. So I looked online to find cute monsters, then realised it would be just like all the others and I wanted to be different in which resulted in me coming up with the minion. It is still a monster but it is a different type of monster and is popular.

Next time I think I could do another copy on the computer which then I could chose which one I like best and even then it is always best to have two different types. However, overall I am happy with the way it looks.

Juice Member

Here are my designs for my Juice Member. I chose to do the minion from Despicable Me. I designed many different ones, to get an idea of what to use as my creation and what would be more effective to the audience.

Urban Juicer- My Monster

My little 'Monster'. I designed it like a 'Despicable Me' minion, as everyone is on a 'Minion Rush' at the moment and love the little minions. This is effective and will attract people as they love them. This is for all age groups as everyone loves them, kids, teens and adults.

The Urban Juicer

Emma Dibben

I like Emma Dibben’s work, as it is all hand drawn it shows how talented she is. She is also amazing at painting it so it looks realistic. Emma Dibben managed to paint in all the details for the tree. I would say this is one of my favorites. This would influence me as it shows that anything is possible, and that many people are talented. I feel that this could also have an effect on people, as if there was a hidden meaning.

Good Wives and Warriors
This piece is by Good Wives and Warriors. I am in love with this piece of work as it is so colourful and amazing. How they managed to put the main attracts of London into one picture and made it urban. They put their own twist to it with the crystal sky and with the speakers at the bottom. Becky Bolton and Louise Chappell (Good Wives and Warriors) created the partnership. Good Wives and Warriors made a hash tag trend  #iconiclondon. They created this in a shop window in front of the public for everyone to see. This has influenced me as it is urban and I really love the picture. All together I feel that this partnership as they are extremely talented and I would love to see more of their work.

Tom Bagshaw

This piece of art is by Tom Bagshaw.
I really like this picture as this girl looks like a catwalk model, and I like what he did with her hair. He is really talented to be able to put the space effect in her hair. I love the fact that he even put little planets around her. This art piece and artist influence me as it is all done digitally. It’s amazing how he did it, and I would love to be able to create art pieces such as this on a computer.
